Prism Roja lifestyle

When we introduced ARAUCO Prism® TFL SF258 Roja in 2022, it was one of the first-to-emerge, burnt orange laminate finishes available. Fresh out of the European salons at the time, this trend has picked up momentum in both commercial and residential markets.

Industry-leading color expert, Pantone®  named Peach Fuzz its 2024 Color of the Year, further confirming that ARAUCO is always on the cutting edge. Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute described their Peach Fuzz as, “a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance.”

A bit more saturated, Roja is a versatile color that incorporates the earthiness of warm terracotta clay and a tiny hint of cosmetic pink.  Trends toward using more natural products in spaces like home office, retail and hospitality continue to emerge. Solid colors like Roja can warm these spaces especially when accompanied by textured TFL woodgrain panels. The smooth, matte finish of our Roja TFL design lends itself to both a comforting foundational color and a touch of whimsy when used as an accent.

ARAUCO Impact is a multi-program effort to enable our employees to connect with their communities and to make positive change in the world around them.

The holidays are known as the “Season of Giving” and at ARAUCO, we really got into the spirit of the season in Q4 last year.

Our Atlanta office team donated over $1000 of fundraised toys to the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House.
• Our Grayling, Michigan, Team supported local families, women, and children in need through their collection efforts for Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, and River House.
• Employees on our Malvern, Arkansas, Team donated hundreds of toys to Toys for Tots.
• The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, team collected gifts and personal items for the Children’s Aid Society and decorated and donated a Christmas tree, which was auctioned to benefit the local hospice center
• The team in Bennettsville, SC, “adopted” 22 children from a local school and donated and wrapped gifts for all of them; the same team also participated in a Thanksgiving Food Drive with Bread for Life.

These are just a few examples of the way our teams give back to the communities we live and work in!

"It is no secret that providing a positive experience for your employees leads to better engagement and better business outcomes."  Megan Day, Employment, Employee Experience and Talent Manager

Megan Day

ARAUCO has been a business that holds people – their safety and their experience – at the top of our list of priorities.

Over the past year, we have begun a journey of being more data-driven and intentional on how we provide a rewarding and engaging experience to our people. We spent 2023 listening – using surveys and other methodologies to understand our people and our business.

The data we collected has helped us pinpoint the areas of employee experience where our efforts could make the biggest difference for our people and helped us identify the strengths we have as an organization – such as our ability to team and collaborate, our impact on our communities, and pride in our purpose.

In 2024, we are taking these learnings not just to make improvements where we can, but to paint a realistic picture of what employee experience is like at ARAUCO. This year you will begin to see more content on what it is like to be a part of the ARAUCO team and the pieces of our employee experience that make us stand out as a great place to work.

CEU: Wood-Based Materials for Furniture, Interiors and Construction: The Science and Impacts of Superior Sustainability

USDA Carbon Cycle

Explore the True Meaning of "Sustainability" When it Comes to Furniture and Interior Design Materials.

The concept of sustainability has been widely embedded in popular culture, to the extent that some of the science around climate change has been distorted or overlooked. This new course contributes to understanding how the thoughtful selection of building materials can positively impact carbon cycles and climate change. Considerations include how sustainable forestry helps restore natural cycles of renewal, and the role played by wood in long-term carbon sequestration. It carries a one-hour learning unit for IDCEC and AIA members.

Next presentation: April 10th, 11AM ET / 8AM PT
