ARAUCO CEO Cristián Infante has been named Latin America CEO of the Year 2026 by Fastmarkets, a leading provider of commodity market intelligence. The award recognizes his leadership, Arauco’s strong financial performance, and the company’s long-term strategic vision during a transformative period for the global forestry industry.

The recognition was awarded by leading investment analysts and portfolio managers specializing in the Latin American forestry sector. A key factor highlighted by analysts was Arauco’s Sucuriú Project in Brazil, which is expected to strengthen the company’s position among the world’s leading pulp producers and support long-term growth.

The award will be presented at the Fastmarkets Forest Products Latin America Conference in São Paulo, Brazil, where Infante will share his perspective on the future of the industry and Arauco’s global growth strategy.

Summer Safety: Protect Yourself from the Sun

As temperatures rise and more work and recreational activities take place outdoors, it's important to remember that sun exposure can pose serious health risks, including sunburn, heat-related illness, premature skin aging, and skin cancer. Taking a few simple precautions can help you stay safe and healthy throughout the summer months.

Tips for Staying Sun Safe:

☀️ Wear sunscreen daily – Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to exposed skin and reapply every two hours when outdoors.

🧢 Cover up when possible – Wear a hat, sunglasses, and lightweight, long-sleeved clothing to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

💧 Stay hydrated – Drink water regularly throughout the day, especially when working or spending time outdoors in hot weather.

🌳 Seek shade during peak hours – The sun's rays are strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Whenever possible, take breaks in shaded or covered areas.

A few simple habits can make a big difference. Stay protected, stay hydrated, and enjoy a safe summer season.
